Introduction to the scenery of Okutama: The scenery of Okutama is different throughout the four seasons and each has its own unique charm. There is a small Kawauchi Shrine at the tip of the mountain corner in the lake. Every autumn, people worship the gods with Kashima dance and Japanese traditional lion dance. It has been designated as a Tokyo Metropolitan Intangible Cultural Property.
