Introduction to the Horse Temple: The Horse Temple (renovated in 1996) was built in the 17th year of Hongzhi in the Ming Dynasty (1504). The purpose of worshiping the horse god in the temple is to keep the horses healthy, multiply and have fighting power. The now renovated Horse Temple contains statues of Mazu, King of Horses, Water God, Grass God and other gods.
