Introduction to the Thousand Buddha Hall of Chongqing Temple: Chongqing Temple faces south and consists of two courtyards. The central axis is the Tianwang Hall and the Thousand Buddha Hall, and the east and west side halls on both sides are the Reclining Buddha Hall and the Three Great Masters. The Thousand Buddha Hall is the main hall of the temple. It is three rooms wide, six rafters deep, and nearly square in plan. A single eaves rest on the top of the mountain. There are one Buddha and two Bodhisattvas on the Buddhist altar in the hall, with the inverted Guanyin behind them. The statues are in the style of Song Dynasty sculptures.
