Introduction to the Mahavira Hall: Located to the north of the Heavenly King’s Hall, the hall has double eaves and brackets, carved beams and paintings, and is decorated with gold and jade. It enshrines Sakyamuni, Amitabha and the Medicine Buddha III, who are one foot and three feet high. It is a large sculpture of Guanyin on the Island. It is based on the story of the 53-ginseng boy who was good at wealth in the Avatamsaka Sutra. It vividly shows the scene of Guanyin in the South China Sea saving all sentient beings. Eighteen Arhats are enshrined on the east and west walls.
