Introduction to the main shrine: The two side-by-side buildings of Kamigamo Shrine are the main shrine and the Gonden hall. They are both Japanese national treasures and were rebuilt in 1863. Their architectural form is the oldest "Liuza" in Japan, which is equivalent to the relics from the Sui and Tang Dynasties in China, and despite continuous reconstruction, the style has not changed at all.
