Introduction to Panchi and Arch Bridge: Panchi is a half-moon-shaped pool that curves outward in front of Lingxing Gate. It is commonly known as Moon Pool. There is an arch bridge on the pool. According to the Panshui chapter of Lu Song in the Book of Songs, there is a sentence: "Think happily of the Panshui, and pick the celery...". Therefore, in the past, when those who passed the imperial examination went to the Confucian Temple to offer sacrifices to Confucius, they would fish some water plants from the Panchi and insert them into the water. The hat has an ancient meaning, so those who pass the exam are called You Pan or Ru Pan.
