Glacier introduction: The Kenai Fjords were formed in the Harding Icefield, a sea of ice and snow. More than 30 glaciers protrude from the icefield every year, flowing down the mountain peaks like giant tentacles. The magnificent scenery formed by the receding glaciers is also the park's biggest attraction.
