Introduction to Sabaloka Gorge: Sabaloka Gorge, located about 80 kilometers north of Khartoum, is the first gorge where the White Nile and Blue Nile converge in Khartoum to form the Nile. The canyon is about 12 kilometers long, with a maximum depth of about 150 meters. The river suddenly shrinks from 500-1000 meters in the upper reaches of the canyon to a width of 150-250 meters.
