Introduction to the old Chinese Consulate: Next to the Kobe Kitano Foreigners Club, there is an old Chinese Consulate, built in 1940 by Wang Zhaoming, the consul of the Nanjing pro-Japanese government, in Kobe. The furniture, decorations, and artworks displayed in the museum are very Chinese. There are two large living rooms, one with Ming Dynasty furniture and the other with Qing Dynasty furniture, both made in China and shipped over.
