Introduction to America Park: America Park is a waterfront park located in Kobe Port, close to Kobe Tower and the Kobe Maritime Museum. It is also a memorial park for the Great Hanshin Earthquake, so it is also called the Kobe Port Earthquake Memorial Park. America Park was severely damaged by the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake on January 17, 1995. The damaged shore walls and tilted street lamps at that time have been preserved according to their original state, allowing people to witness the intensity of the disaster with their own eyes.
