Introduction to Merdeka Square:Independence Square is the "Tiananmen" of Kuala Lumpur and is also the place where National Day is celebrated every year. On one side of the wide square are European-style lawns and Dutch-style buildings, and on the other side is the ancient Abdul Samad building.
