Introduction to the ruins of the Qing city wall: The city wall was built during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. After the Xiaohezhuo rebellion was put down, ministers were set up in Kuqa and officers and soldiers were stationed there. The Qing Dynasty implemented an ethnic segregation policy in Xinjiang, which separated the military garrison, Han people and Uyghur garrison. Therefore, a new city was built in Kuqa, commonly known as "Hancheng". The original city was called "Old City", also known as "Back City".
