Tenryuji Temple Introduction: Tenryuji Temple was built in 1339 as the main temple of the Linji sect Tenryuji Temple. It was built by General Ashikaga Takauji to support Emperor Daigo. The garden takes advantage of the scenery of Kameyama and Arashiyama to integrate the elegance of aristocratic culture and the mystery of Zen Buddhism. It is a special historical site in Japan.
