Shimogamo Shrine introduction: Shimogamo Shrine is a world cultural heritage. It is one of the oldest shrines before the Heian period and one of the oldest shrines in Kyoto. At the "Aoi Matsuri" festival held on May 15th every year, the dynasty scroll procession passed by Shimogamo Shrine, which is one of the three major festivals in Kyoto along with the Jidai Matsuri and Gion Matsuri.
