Introduction to the Church of Jesus Christ: It is 33 meters long, 23 meters wide and 11 meters high. The intricately carved cornices are supported by 34 square columns. It is the most eye-catching church in Lalibela. It is the only church in Ethiopia with five naves. According to Christian practice, there are three doors leading to the interior of the church, facing east, north and south. This is built in the style of a rectangular colonnaded hall-style Christian church. It runs east-west and is divided into eight rooms, with 28 pillars supporting the semicircular vault arranged in rows.
