Pear tree introduction: Shichuan ancient pear tree cultivation has a long history. Since the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, local fruit farmers built imitation waterwheels to draw water from the Yellow River to irrigate their fields and began to plant pear trees. Surrounded by mountains and with the Yellow River running through it, the area has a mild climate, fertile soil and flourishing pear trees. Most of the existing ancient pear trees are more than three hundred years old and are still bearing fruit today.
