Introduction to the Genghis Khan Exhibition Hall: The Great Buddha Hall was built in the Ming Dynasty and renovated during the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty (1796-1820). It is the largest building in Dongshan. According to historical records, in 1227 AD, Genghis Khan died of illness in Xinglong Mountain while attacking Xixia. His clothes and weapons and supplies were placed here. From 1939 to 1949, Genghis Khan's coffin was transported to Xinglong Mountain and secretly hidden in the Great Buddha Hall. Today, the Great Buddha Hall has been opened as the Genghis Khan Exhibition Hall.
There are three main halls in the middle of the Great Buddha Hall, and two auxiliary halls on both sides. They have brackets and double eaves, carved beams and painted buildings, and are solemn. There are three tall spruce trees in front of the hall. There are five yurts in the courtyard. There are three Buddhas in the main hall. , in the middle is Sakyamuni in the Saha world, on the left is Medicine Buddha in the Eastern Pure Glaze world, and on the right is Amitabha in the Western Paradise. The statue of Genghis Khan is located in front of the Sakyamuni Buddha statue, 2.5 meters high, wearing a military uniform and wearing a hood.
