Introduction to the Museum of Fine Arts: The Musée des Beaux-Arts mainly collects art from the past five centuries, including Monet, Eugène Delacroix, and Gustave Courbet , Edgar Degas, Édouard Manet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Georges Seurat and other artists who lived or worked in Normandy. In 1874, Monet's "Impression Sunrise" with Le Havre as the background was exhibited in Paris. From then on, the term "Impressionism" came into being.
