Introduction to Peter's Church: Peter's Church (Pieterskerk Leiden) was built in 1390. It is a magnificent late Gothic building that took 180 years to complete. Many outstanding figures in Dutch history are buried here, including pastors, theologians, scientists and painters of the "Puritan predecessors".
