Introduction to Jingde Gate: It is also called Jingde Chongsheng Gate. The word "Chongsheng" was added later by Emperor Qianlong to show that he did not forget his ancestral heritage and respected the holiness of the previous emperors. The current gate was rebuilt in 2000.
