Introduction to the Xijing Ancient Road: The route from the entrance of Xijing Mountain to Shuanglin Temple is called the "Xijing Ancient Road". The ancient road is four miles long and is mostly built with stone blocks. It has been intact for more than a thousand years. Because "Shuanglin" means the place of Buddha's nirvana, the Xijing Ancient Road is called the "Buddha's Heart Road". It has been a pilgrimage route to Shuanglin Temple to worship Buddha and offer incense since ancient times. Although the main hall of Shuanglin Temple no longer exists, incense is still very popular today, and pilgrims come in droves every time there is a Buddhist ceremony.
