Introduction to the ancient city of Qiaojie: Qiaojie Street is located in Defeng Town, Liping County, also known as Dongmen Street. It was built in the 18th year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1385). It starts from the east gate of the city wall in the east and ends at Erlangpo in the south. The lotus pond is more than one kilometer long. This street is high at both ends and low in the middle. It is shaped like a tilted pole, so it is called "Qiao Street".
There are countless streets and alleys in Qiaojie. The famous ones include Majia Alley, Yaojia Alley, Zhangjia Alley, Shuangjing Street, Zuosuopo, etc. There are many Ming and Qing Dynasty buildings on both sides, rows of wind and fire walls, and courtyards one after another. , row upon row, well-proportioned, with cornices and horns, exquisite paintings and antique color. From the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China, Qiao Street became the commercial and trade center of Liping and was known as the "Along the River During Qingming Festival".
On December 14, 1934, the Central Red Army entered Liping and stationed at Qiaojie. The headquarters lived in Hu Rongshun's business. On December 18, the Political Bureau of the Central Committee held a meeting here, which was known as the "Liping Conference" in history. In addition to preserving the Lianghu Guild Hall, there are also red sites such as the Liping Conference site, the Qiaojie Archway, the Red Army Cultural Square, the residence of the instructor of the Central Red Army, the residence of the Red Army cadres' rest company, and the residence of Mao Zedong.
