Monument introduction: The Eighty-Two Martyrs Monument was built in 1992. From a distance, it looks like two standing steel spears piercing the blue sky, standing tall against the sky. The main body of the monument is 19.43 meters high, representing the year 1943. The steel gun stand on the monument body and the marble base form the word "82". The base of the monument is three platforms with a total of 18 steps, which means March 18. Below the towering monument is the title "Monument to the Eighty-two Martyrs" inscribed by General Zhang Aiping, the former deputy commander of the New Fourth Army. Surrounding the monument is a newly built stele corridor, which mainly introduces the battle of Liu Laozhuang and the odes of the older generation of proletarian revolutionaries to the heroic deeds of the 82 martyrs. Every year from March 18 to around Qingming Festival, this place is crowded with people and white flowers are like snow. Tens of thousands of people gather here to hold commemorative activities to commemorate the achievements of the martyrs.
