Introduction to the stone-carved manhole railings of the Tang Dynasty: The manhole railings were built in the sixth year of Yuanhe (811) in the Tang Dynasty. The manhole railings are well circles, shaped like a giant upside-down bowl, and made of granite. There is an inscription with 21 lines and 91 characters in regular script engraved on the outer abdominal wall of the well railing. According to research, this manhole railing is the only precious Tang Dynasty stone-carved manhole railing that remains in my country. This well fence was originally located in the Ximen Lingling Temple in Liyang County. In 1991, it was moved to Liyang Phoenix Park and the "Tang Well Pavilion" was built for protection.
