Introduction to Chen Pan Ergong Temple: Chen Pan Ergong Temple is located on the roadside of Lunbu, adjacent to Wu Qinhui Temple to the east, Guanyin Nunnery to the west, the canal to the north, and Chuxiu Garden to the south. The temple was built by imperial decree during the Zhengtong period of the Ming Dynasty (1436-1449). It was originally dedicated to Pingjiang Bo Chen, the first water transport officer in Yongle period, and is commonly known as Chen Gong Temple. During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty (1736-1795), Pan Jixun, the famous water conservancy expert and prime minister of the Ming Dynasty, Hecao, was added to the Chen Gong Temple, so it was renamed Chen Pan Ergong Temple. In the form of a traditional memorial ancestral hall, the public ancestral hall comprehensively displays the life and flood control achievements of Chen and Pan Jixun, as well as the related water conservancy knowledge through sculptures, inscriptions, couplets and other forms. On the green space on both sides of the foyer and lobby, two ancient inscriptions of emperors from the Ming Dynasty commending Chen Xuan were erected. In the cloister, the unique style of portraits on porcelain plates is used to display the grace and charm of 54 celebrities in the history of the Grand Canal.
