Zeng's introduction: Zeng Guofan was born in Baiyangping, Heyetang, Xiang Township, Changsha Prefecture, Hunan Province (now Daping Village, Heye Town, Shuangfeng County, Loudi City, Hunan Province) to an ordinary farming and studying family. There are nine brothers and sisters, Zeng Guofan is the eldest son. My ancestors were mainly engaged in farming and lived a relatively comfortable life.
