Introduction to Lingya Liao: Lingya Liao is located on the east bank of the river mouth. Its original name was Lingya Liao. It was a place where fishermen lived. It got its name because Lingzi (bamboo husk) was used for fishing. There is a sandbar called Lingzhou at the mouth of the river, which was colonized by the Japanese. Shi Lin admired the Japanese government for building a wooden bridge called Lingya Bridge, which was the predecessor of the Kaohsiung Bridge. There was a toll for crossing the bridge.
