There are 122 paintings on the top of the wooden bridge gallery, depicting the historical stories of Lucerne and Switzerland; the railings of the bridge are often decorated with flowers, and it looks like a flower gallery from a distance; there is a stone pavilion built in the water beside the bridge The octagonal spire water tower with red roof and white walls is very beautiful. It is said that the water tower has been used as a watchtower, prison and treasury in the past, and now it is a guild hall.
The bridge was destroyed by a fire in 1993. Later, Swiss perfectionist craftsmen recreated the wooden bridge and more than a hundred oil paintings inside the bridge realistically.
