Introduction to Spreuerbrucke: Spreuerbrucke is also called "Wheat Husk Bridge", so named because wheat husks were often thrown into the river here in ancient times. The Sper Bridge was built in 1408 and was the second wooden covered bridge on the river. The 67 paintings on the bridge were painted between 1626 and 1635. The theme depicted is the "Dance of Death".
