Introduction to the Monument to the Red Army’s Flying Capture of Luding Bridge: The “Monument to the Red Army’s Flying Capture of Luding Bridge” was built on October 16, 1986. Deng Xiaoping inscribed the title and Nie Rongzhen wrote the inscription. The main monument uses a geometric variation of chains to symbolize the armed struggle of the revolution, and the base platform emphasizes the tired but tenacious fighting posture of the Red Army soldiers after marching day and night. The monument is divided into eight floors, and each floor is decorated with large murals with themes of Tibetan-Chinese unity and the Red Army's Long March. The design of the monument and its park is innovative, integrating commemorative significance, local customs, art exhibitions, and tourism.
