Introduction to the Bodhi tree: There is a woodland to the south of the holy pool. One of the particularly tall Bodhi trees is the Bodhi tree, which is particularly revered in Buddhism. Legend has it that Mrs. Maya held the Bodhi tree and gave birth to her little prince (later Sakyamuni) by the pool. From then on, the Buddha depended on the Bodhi tree whether he was enlightened, made his debut, taught scriptures to his disciples, or even reached nirvana. This bodhi tree is about thirty meters high, with a thick body and full of vitality. The original tree was recorded in Faxian's works, saying that it was "withered" when Xuanzang of the Tang Dynasty came here to learn Buddhist scriptures. This tree was replanted by later generations and is said to be 500 years old.
