Introduction to the stele: Wang Duo was a versatile calligrapher with various styles. Whether it was majestic and powerful regular script, ancient and simple small regular script, or flying cursive script, he was very popular in the calligraphy circles of the late Ming Dynasty. All are first-rate. It is said that "Xianshan Garden Tie" was compiled by Wang Duo in his later years by gathering his many years of copying fine works and his own proud works. He once told his children and grandchildren: "I have achieved nothing in my life except calligraphy. After my death, I can find a good worker and place these works in stone on the four walls of the central room, so that they can be passed down to future generations.
