Introduction to the Ancient Roman Coliseum: The Ancient Roman Coliseum is located on the Forwell Hill and includes two semi-circular theaters, one large and one small. The theater was built by the Romans in 43 BC and was in the theater space in the 2nd century AD. An additional 11,000 seats were added, which shows the grand spectacle of theater performances at that time. Under the study of Lyon archaeologists, the now well-preserved amphitheater has reconstructed the stage structure that could improve the acoustics at that time. In addition to visiting unearthed cultural relics, tourists can sometimes enjoy large-scale concerts, concerts, operas and other performances here.
