Introduction to Plaza de España: Plaza de España is the most popular tourist destination in Madrid, located at the west end of Gran Vía. The Royal Palace of Madrid is not far south of the square. In the center of the square is the monument to the great Spanish writer Miguel de Cervantes, built in 1916, including the Cervantes stone sculpture above, the bronze statues of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza in front, and the statues representing Don Quixote. Two stone statues of Hote's true love - the ordinary village girl Altonsha Lozhinso and the imaginary beautiful Dulcinea Del Toboso.
