Introduction to Plaza Mayor: Plaza Mayor is the main square in Madrid, adjacent to Puerta del Sol. It was built during the Habsburg Dynasty. It is rectangular in shape, 129 meters long and 94 meters wide. There is an equestrian statue of the builder Philip III in the center, surrounded by three-story residential buildings, with 237 balconies facing the square and a total of 9 entrances. One of the main buildings in the square, the Bakery House (Casa de la Panadería), still performs municipal and cultural functions. The exterior walls are covered with murals, which is eye-catching. This square is also the best place for tourists to relax and experience the local customs.
