Introduction to the Niutou Monument: In order to open up tourism at the source of the Yellow River, the People's Government of Maduo County built a "Soul of China Niu Tou Monument at the Source of the River" in September 1988. The total weight of the monument is 5.1 tons. Made of copper, the late 10th Panchen Lama and Comrade Hu Yaobang respectively inscribed the words "Source of the Yellow River" in Tibetan and Chinese on the monument. The Niutou stele is built on the top of Cuorigaze Mountain in Maduo County, with an altitude of 4,610 meters. The stele is 3 meters high and the base is 2 meters high.
