Maintenance introduction: The walls surrounding the Grand Mosque are covered with protruding wooden pillars, making the earthen building look more majestic and rough. The wooden pillars are not structural materials, but scaffolding for maintenance. At the end of the rainy season every year, more than 4,000 people volunteer to participate in repairs and coat the mosque with new soil to give it a new look so that it can survive the rainy season of the next year. In this way, year after year, this mosque has spent more than 100 years.
