Introduction to the Red Wall: In Old Trafford, there is a red brick wall with extraordinary significance. This is the Munich Air Crash Memorial Wall. On February 6, 1958, a flight carrying Manchester United players, fans and journalists accompanying the team failed and crashed during its third takeoff attempt on the snowy runway of Munich Airport in West Germany. Of the 44 passengers and crew on board, 23 were killed, including eight Manchester United players and three staff. Despite this, Manchester United still participated in all competitions this season. To commemorate the incident and the victims, a memorial was erected on one wall of the stadium with a photo of the entire team at the time.
