Introduction to Qinjiang Public Yamen: Qinjiang Public Yamen was founded in 1729 (the seventh year of Emperor Yongzheng’s reign in the Qing Dynasty). It was the headquarters where the Qing generals stationed in Fujian inspected naval drills every year. It was also the highest command organ of the Sanjiangkou Marine Banner Camp. It is usually the office space for Navy flag camp officials. During the Majiang naval battle between China and France in 1884, General Mutushan commanded naval officers and soldiers to fight against the French invaders here. Qinjiang Public Yamen was also the place where Qinjiang cultivated talents in the past dynasties. During the Yongzheng and Daoguang years of the Qing Dynasty, the Qingwen Academy and the Official School were established in the wing.
