Introduction to the No. 1 Strange Couplet in the World: There is a very wonderful couplet in front of the palace, "The sea water falls; the floating clouds grow long, long and long." It is said that he was a famous talent of the Ming Dynasty. Written by Xu Wei. This couplet cleverly makes use of the homophonic characteristics of Chinese characters with multiple sounds and multiple meanings. "Chao" connects with "tide" and "长" connects with "rise", thus forming eighteen ways of reading. On the surface, it uses the ebb and flow of sea water and the constant rise and fall of floating clouds to reveal that everything in the world is changeable and will rise and fall.
