Introduction to the Gospel Hall: The predecessor of the Christian Church was the "Gospel Hall", which began in the 10th year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1871). The British missionary John Hu and his wife practiced medicine in Min'an Town, thus preaching and developing believers. In the 14th year of Guangxu's reign (1888), the No. 1 house of Ditudang (originally a pawnshop) was purchased, covering an area of 0.93 acres. The storefront was used as a clinic, and the house behind it was used as a preaching place, called the "Gospel Hall", with more than 30 believers. In the 20th year of the Republic of China, the "Gospel Hall" was rebuilt into a second floor with 80 believers. In 1997, believers raised their own funds to rebuild the church, covering an area of 443 square meters.
