Introduction to the Minsk National Theater: The foundation stone of the Minsk State Opera and Ballet Theater was laid in 1933 and completed in 1939. The theater was severely damaged during the Great Patriotic War and was restored in 1948. Today, the theater can accommodate a total of 1,500 people, including 1,200 in pool seats and 300 in boxes (on the third floor). Classic ballet and opera performances are often held.
