Introduction to the statue of King Fujian: The statue of Wang Shenzhi in the middle of the main hall was sculpted by folk artist Chen Shishan in 1982. Wang Shenzhi was the founding monarch of the Five Dynasties of Fujian. He succeeded his deceased brother Wang Chao to govern Fujian for 27 years from 898. He greatly promoted the economic and cultural development of Fujian and was called the "King of Kai Fujian" by later generations.
