Bell Tower Introduction: The Old City Bell Tower was built in 1357 and contains a water clock that tells the time. There are twelve windows in a row in the middle, each with a copper alms bowl on the wooden rafters under the windows. It is said that every hour, the mechanism of the water clock will drop a small copper ball from one of the windows and fall into the copper bowl below, making a sound of telling time.
