Foyer introduction: The wall-door room is also called the foyer, and it has three rooms. The middle room is called the Ming Room. It is one foot or three feet wide and is used for the entrance and exit of the owner and distinguished guests. It has a built-in hidden door and a couplet on it that says: "A house that accumulates good deeds will be blessed. Giving generously to everyone will surely bring prosperity to the future." The ceremonial plaques erected on both sides were erected by Mo Fangmei (1856-1915) to show off his power after he "followed the regulations and became a senior official and appointed a marquis to serve as the magistrate of Zhili Prefecture, Jiangsu Province" in the 27th year of Guangxu's reign in the Qing Dynasty (1901). . The two rooms on the left and right of the foyer are where ordinary people come in and out. They also serve as the Mo family's concierge and are called the East and West Schools.
