Introduction to Lake Naivsha: Lake Naivsha is adjacent to the East African Rift Valley and formed by fault collapse. It is 20 kilometers long from north to south, 13 kilometers wide from east to west, and has a deepest depth of 20 meters. The lake surface is 1,900 meters above sea level. It is the highest lake in the Rift Valley and one of the most beautiful freshwater lakes in Kenya. This is the hometown of osprey. There is a large papyrus swamp around the lake. There are hippos and various waterfowl in the lake, as well as bass and African crucian carp. There is a crescent-shaped volcanic island in the lake called Cresent, which is a private animal sanctuary.
