Introduction to Nanchang University Library: Nanchang University Library was formed by the merger of the former Jiangxi University Library and the former Jiangxi University of Technology Library when Nanchang University was established in May 1993. It is the school’s document information center. , is an academic institution serving teaching and scientific research, and an important base for school informatization and social informatization.
Nanchang University Library currently has a building area of 25,600 square meters. According to the distribution of students and disciplines of the school, it has three locations: South District, North District and Qianhu Campus. The South Branch Library focuses on collecting literature and information materials on engineering and technology disciplines, the North Branch Library mainly collects literature and information materials on liberal arts and science subjects, and the Qianhu Campus focuses on literature and information materials on basic subjects based on the fact that freshmen are the main readership. The school library has a total collection of about 20,000 kinds of books and more than 3.75 million volumes, including 60,000 volumes of ancient books and materials. An average of nearly 2,000 Chinese and foreign periodicals (printed) are ordered every year.
