Introduction to Panchi: The pool in front of the Confucius Temple is generally called "Panchi". Different from other academic palaces, the Panchi in Nanjing Confucius Temple was transformed from a section of the Qinhuai River. It is the only one made of natural water. Living water makes a temple of Panchi.
