Monument introduction: On April 16, 1941, the 12th Regiment of the 4th Brigade of the 2nd Division of the New Fourth Army went to the Liuhe Jiniushan area to rest and recuperate, and assumed the task of protecting the local people's summer harvest. That night, they were attacked by part of the 12th Japanese Brigade and puppet troops stationed in Yangzhou. After a bloody battle, they won the Jinniushan counterattack. In order to commemorate the heroes, comfort the loyal souls, inspire the living, and enlighten future generations, this monument was specially erected.
