Introduction to the auditorium: The auditorium of the Presidential Palace was originally part of the Xinuang Pavilion of the Governor-General's Office. During the Republic of China, it was renovated in 1929, 1935, and 1946, making it the venue for many important meetings and activities of the National Government. The "National Recruitment Conference" in 1929, the "Prime Minister's Memorial Week" jointly held by the National Government and the Central Party Committee, and the "May 5th Tea Party" after the return of the capital in 1946 were all held here.
